Leica Winter Walk

13.12.25 - 13.12.25 18:30 - 20:30
  • When dusk settles over the city and golden lights illuminate the alleys, perhaps the most poetic time for photography begins. The “Leica Winter Walk” is an invitation to capture this magic with a sharpened eye and a calm camera – on a guided walk to the Wetzlar Christmas Market, accompanied by Sebastian Scholz, Store Manager of the Leica Store Wetzlar.

The meeting point is at 6:30 p.m. at the parking lot of the New Town Hall. From there, the shared path leads through the pre-Christmas city toward the old town – with many inspiring stops and perspectives along the way. The focus is on mindful seeing: light reflections on cobblestones, glowing faces at market stalls, fine details in decorations, and the special atmosphere between hustle and stillness.

Sebastian Scholz accompanies the participants with technical know-how and a fine sense of atmosphere and composition. He gives practical tips, opens new perspectives – and creates a space in which everyone can deepen their own way of seeing. Whether with a Leica camera, your own equipment, or a loaner device (subject to availability): everyone is welcome who wants to experience photography with all their senses.

The evening ends deliberately without haste: at the Christmas market there is time to capture the last images – and then to relax over warm drinks and good conversation.

The Leica Winter Walk is part of the Christmas program of the Leica World and is aimed at all those who, in the midst of the year-end hustle, are looking for a moment of mindfulness – with camera, vision, and heart.

The event will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The meeting point is at 6:30 p.m. at the parking lot of the New Town Hall in Wetzlar. The participation fee is €22. Registration is required, and the number of participants is limited to 8 people.
