How much time should I plan for a visit to Leica Welt?
There is a lot to see in the World of Leica in the Leitz Park Wetzlar. You should plan a good two hours for a visit to the interactive Ernst Leitz Museum and exhibition. You can also spend a good two hours in the headquarters with a view of production and various exhibitions. With a stop at Café Leitz and a walk through the Leitz Park Forest, you can also spend half a day with us.

Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
All tours through the Leitz-Park and the World of Leica are generally wheelchair accessible. However, due to daily restrictions, we kindly ask for information at the time of reservation, whether you are an individual or a group, if you, for example, are using a wheelchair.
Not wheelchair accessible are the tour from the Leitz-Park to the old town and the nature trail.

Can I bring my backpack/bag on the tour?
Small bags and backpacks can be taken along without any issues. There are no restrictions regarding this for the tour from the Leitz-Park to the old town.

Can I cancel my tour?
Tours can be canceled free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the tour. The cancellation must be made in writing via email. Please understand that tours that have already been paid for cannot be refunded.
Leica AG reserves the right to impose restrictions or cancellations on already booked tours for operational reasons. In this case, the price of your tour will, of course, be refunded.

Can I purchase tickets on-site?
You can purchase tickets for the museum on-site and without reservation. If you wish to join a tour spontaneously, you can also buy a ticket on-site. However, this is only possible if there are still available seats.

How long does my tour last?
The duration of the tours varies. The tour through the World of Leica lasts approximately 60 minutes, and a nature trail tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.
As the tour from the Leitz-Park to the old town is self-guided, the duration depends entirely on you. However, please allow at least 40 minutes, as the walking distance is 4.5 kilometers.

I am running late. Can the tour be postponed?
Please understand that due to the many tours offered, it is not possible to spontaneously postpone a tour. If a group is late, the tour duration will be shortened accordingly. If you are more than 20 minutes late, we reserve the right to cancel the tour at your expense. For individual guests of a group tour, it is unfortunately not possible for us to wait for you with the whole group or to start the tour later.

In which languages are the tours offered?
Our tours are offered as standard in German and English. If interested, there is also the possibility to take the tour in French.

Where can I eat or drink in the Leitz-Park?
Café Leitz – In the modern pavilion in the heart of the Leitz-Park, the café team welcomes you with a variety of coffee specialties, desserts, cakes, and dishes from a small lunch menu – offering a place to relax and enjoy. Café Leitz is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Restaurant – The cuisine at Oskar's is regional, fresh, and modern. This includes an open kitchen concept with dishes to share and taste. The restaurant is open from 5 PM to 11 PM. You can reserve a table here.
Casino - Located in the heart of the Leitz-Park, the Casino invites you to a freshly prepared breakfast in the morning. It also serves fine delicacies at lunchtime: visitors can choose between daily changing menus and dishes. The opening hours are Mon. - Fri. from 7:30 AM - 10:00 AM for breakfast and Mon. - Fri. from 11:45 AM - 1:30 PM for lunch.

Yes, all lectures in the Leica World are accessible for people with disabilities.

Are there any discounts on ticket prices?
The reduced admission price is 8 euros and can be claimed by pupils, trainees, students, volunteers, job seekers receiving ALG I benefits, and people with severe disabilities (degree of disability of at least 50) upon presentation of the appropriate certificate.

Is it allowed to bring an accompanying person for people with disabilities?
Yes, bringing an accompanying person is allowed. Accompanying persons of individuals with a severe disability pass (degree of disability of at least 50) are granted free admission, provided that appropriate proof is presented.

How do I reach the Leitz-Park via public transportation?
From Wetzlar train station (RE and RB), ZOB (Central Bus Station):
Take bus line 11 towards Gießen 'Johanneskirche.'
11 stops, get off at 'Am Leitz-Park.'
Approximate travel time: 15 minutes.

Where can I park my bike safely?
You can park your bike anywhere on the premises. However, we recommend that you lock/lock up your bike securely and properly, as we accept no liability in the event of theft or similar.

Lockers and a cloakroom are located in the entrance area of the Ernst Leitz Museum. Please ask the staff at reception for help.

Where can I find the current course offers?
You can find the current range of courses offered by the Leica Academy here. Please note that there is a very high demand for the courses and workshops and that a course is often fully booked within a few days.
Vouchers and experience packages

Can I give a voucher for a fixed date?
Please understand that when booking an experience package, you will not receive a voucher from us, and we cannot reserve a date for you with the purchase of a voucher.

How do I book an experience package?
If you would like to book an experience package for a fixed date, select the desired package here. Use the "Book experience package" button and then enter your desired date, a few details about your visit and your address details. Following your booking, you will receive an invoice from us and a PayLink to pay it.

How do I redeem a voucher?
To redeem a voucher for an experience package, please use our booking portal. Select the relevant package and click on the "Redeem voucher" button on the right-hand side. You will find the required voucher code on the back of your voucher.
To redeem the vouchers for the leica tour, the museum tour or the smartphone workshop, search here and use the "Register now" button. Please let us know in the email that you have a voucher and we will be happy to book the date for you. Please also bring the voucher with you to your appointment and hand it in at the reception desk of the Ernst Leitz Museum.

How does the purchase of the voucher on request work?
If you would like to purchase a voucher via our online store, select the relevant voucher and click on the "On request" button. Enter your details in the pop-up field and note your delivery and invoice address in the comments field. We will then send you the voucher together with the corresponding invoice, which you can pay by bank transfer within 8 days.

What is the difference between buying a voucher and booking an experience package?
In addition to vouchers for our various tours and workshops, you can also purchase vouchers for our "A day in Leitz Park" and "A weekend in Leitz Park" experience packages. These vouchers are not tied to a specific date and can be redeemed by the recipient on a date of their choice, subject to availability.
You can also book an experience package yourself on a fixed date. Following your booking, you will receive an invoice from us as well as a PayLink to pay it.
