Monochrome test days at the Leica Store in Wetzlar
-
Black-and-white photography is more than just the absence of color—it is a reduction to the essentials, a play with light and contrast, pure emotion. Inspired by January's theme of light and shadow and in the context of the exhibition Ragnar Axelsson: Where the World Is Melting, which impressively shows the elemental power and fragility of the Arctic, we invite you to the Monochrome Test Days: a unique opportunity to experience the fascination of the Leica M11 Monochrom and Leica Q3 Monochrom up close.
In an exclusive one-hour slot, you will have the opportunity to discover the magic of monochrome photography for yourself. After a short personal consultation at the Leica Store Wetzlar, you can choose one of the two models. The camera will be explained to you on site – then you can start your own monochrome photo journey: through the architecturally exciting world of Leitz Park or in the adjacent Leitz Park forest. Every perspective, every play of light, every structure becomes a stage for your very own visual language in black and white.
Every day – from January 26 to 31 – there are eight one-hour slots available between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration via Eventbrite is required. When booking, you can choose whether you would like to test the M11 Monochrom or the Q3 Monochrom. We look forward to seeing the pictures that are taken over the next few days! If you like, you can share your most impressive shots with the Leica community on Instagram – use the hashtag #LeicaMonochromDays and tag us @leica_welt. We will repost selected contributions on our channel.
