Flash & Focus: Museumsnacht 2026

23.05.26 - 24.05.26 20:00 - 02:00
  • It's almost that time again: on Saturday, May 23, we will be celebrating our fifth Museum Night and inviting you to “Flash & Focus – a night of photography with beats and cocktails at the Ernst Leitz Museum.” Starting at 8 p.m., the museum will be transformed into a dance floor. Look forward to an extraordinary evening in a special atmosphere. With stimulating conversations and tasty drinks at the bar. An event that has already established itself as a highlight in the calendar of events.

This year, you can once again dance to the sounds of DJ Oli Roventa. The Wetzlar native plays in well-known clubs across Europe and is responsible for the musical concept of the Gibson Club in Frankfurt, where he has also been a regular DJ for 14 years. Radio shows on “YOU FM” and “Ibiza Live Radio” are also part of his portfolio. On May 23, you can look forward to a combination of DJ sets, live saxophone with Niklas Wagner, and live violin with MISS vio-LINE.

Discover our interactive museum in a whole new way. Try out different design elements at our photo stations and be inspired to create unusual motifs. In addition, we will surprise you with a setup in the photo studio that matches the evening, where our photographer will capture you alone or in a group. The photos will be made available to you later via a download link.

The exhibition area of the Ernst Leitz Museum is currently showing “Ragnar Axelsson: Where the World Is Melting.” Icelandic photographer Ragnar Axelsson (born 1958) has been documenting the Arctic regions of Iceland, Greenland, Siberia, and the Faroe Islands for more than four decades. His breathtakingly beautiful black-and-white photographs show glaciers and ice formations, but above all the special everyday life of the people and animals living there under extreme conditions.

The area in front of the Ernst Leitz Museum also invites you to linger. There you will find an outdoor area with food and drink on offer.

Tickets for the Museum Night are available for €28.90 from 10 a.m. on April 13, exclusively online in advance.
