  • Not only a sharp photo is a good photo – Leica Akademie instructor Pia Parolin will prove this to you on Friday, November 22, at 7 PM in her lecture “Blurred! A Plea for the Blurred Image” at the Leica Fotostudio.

In a world often dominated by razor-sharp images, the photographer and journalist offers a unique perspective on the beauty of blur. Her inspiring lecture not only highlights the technical aspects of photography but also creates an emotional connection to this fascinating topic.

Since receiving her first camera from her father at the age of nine, Pia Parolin has been captivated by photography. Her father not only taught her the techniques and joy of photography but also the special way of looking through the viewfinder.

After years of landscape and macro photography, Parolin began exploring street and conceptual photography in late 2016. Today, she considers herself a social documentary photographer who values minimal post-processing and composes her photos directly in the camera, often using a Leica Q2.

With her years of experience and artistic perspective, Parolin offers fascinating insights into how blur can be used as a means of expression to tell stories and create a special atmosphere.

The lecture on Friday, November 22, will take place at 7 PM in the unique atmosphere of the Leica Fotostudio. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Admission is 10 euros. This lecture will be held in German.
