Christmas at the World of Leica
-
Christmas is just around the corner, and this year we are once again offering you the opportunity to capture your very own Christmas moments with a free photoshoot. Whether alone, with friends or with family, on the first Advent weekend, Saturday, 30 November, you can have your picture taken by our professional photographer at the Leica photo studio from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The photoshoot is completely free of charge for you. Take advantage of the festive atmosphere to do some good: we cordially invite you to make a small donation to our donation box. 100% of the donations collected on this day will go to the Kinderherzen heilen e.V. association. This organisation supports families with children suffering from heart conditions by, among other things, funding educator positions at the Kinderherzzentrum Gießen, furnishing playrooms and parents' rooms in the clinic and providing accommodation for parents near the clinic1.
After the photoshoot, you will receive a link to conveniently download your photos. No registration is required. Should there be a short waiting time, you can comfortably pass it with a cup of mulled wine or non-alcoholic punch.
Our small tip for your photoshoot: to make your photos particularly harmonious, we recommend a Christmas outfit – for groups, we also recommend coordinated colours. This will enhance the festive atmosphere even more!
From 30 November until New Year's Eve, we also invite you to a special Christmas promotion: show up in a Christmas jumper, and you will receive free admission to the Ernst Leitz Museum. There you will find numerous Christmas-themed photo stations where you can get creative. A special highlight: we are pleased to once again showcase a loan from our partner, the Nationales Automuseum The Loh Collection, at the museum. A festively decorated Ferrari Dino 206 S will be waiting for you to have your picture taken with it – a true eye-catcher for both car fans and Christmas enthusiasts alike!
The museum also offers many interactive stations and exciting information about the company’s history. Visit us on public holidays and between Christmas and New Year. The museum will only be closed on 24 and 31 December and will otherwise be open as usual.
We look forward to your visit and wish you a joyful and peaceful Christmas season!
