In August 2025, the two-day workshop “Silver Portrait” left a lasting impression—especially the darkroom sessions. Many participants expressed a desire to delve deeper into this area and learn more about analog enlargement. “Silver Print” fulfils that wish in the form of an exclusive one-day workshop with Götz Schleser.
On Saturday, 15 November 2025, from 10:00 to 17:00, everything will revolve around the black-and-white print: from handling negatives and making contact prints to producing a final hand print on PE paper (resin-coated). Participants will learn how to deliberately control expression, contrast, and composition—and how to turn a negative into a one-of-a-kind print with a personal signature.
“Silver Print” is designed for anyone with some initial experience in analog photography—perhaps through the “Silver Portrait” workshop—or for those who wish to gain a solid introduction to darkroom practice. No prior knowledge is required; openness and curiosity are warmly welcomed.
What makes this workshop special is its intensity: the group is limited to a maximum of four participants. This ensures a full day of individual guidance, focused work, and personal exchange. The fee is €500 and includes a shared lunch in the Leica staff canteen.
Please note: a minimum of four participants is required for the workshop to run. After you receive your participation confirmation—sent no later than two weeks before the event date as a positive or negative notice—the workshop fee is due within eight days by credit card or bank transfer. The General Terms and Conditions apply. If you’re interested in this workshop, please email info@leica-welt.com.
