Easter holiday program at Leica World
-
When the days grow longer in spring and the light takes on a special intensity, Leica World opens its doors to the next generation of image makers. During the upcoming Easter holidays, Leica World will be transformed into a lively laboratory for young explorers. The program offers much more than pure theory: children and young people are invited to take a look behind the scenes of photography, understand physical phenomena in a playful way, and develop their own visual language.
From the manual construction of their own camera to targeted image design with a smartphone, the workshops are designed to train perception and promote conscious use of media. In the inspiring atmosphere of the Leica World, participants learn to see the world through different eyes and to capture their surroundings creatively. The program is complemented by the first guided tour of the year, which offers exciting insights into the history and innovations of the Leica World.

Photography is all about light – and in this workshop, you can get your hands on it. Participants create individual ornaments from wire and beads at Leica World, with a high-quality, light-reflecting crystal at their center. As with a lens, the refraction of light becomes visible here: the crystal captures the sun's rays and breaks them down into their spectral components. This creates fascinating rainbow effects that bring the physical principles of optics into your own window in a decorative way.
